VERONA, Va -- Several volunteers and employees have headed to Florida from across the country to help if Tropical Storm Isaac makes landfall. Other volunteers from the Valley may make the trip depending on the amount of damage.
A Red Cross employee from Verona says he is ready for the challenge.
“We're just hoping that when we get down there, we'll be able to meet whatever need is necessary down there. We'll stay there two weeks if necessary, or longer,” said Disaster Services Manager Raymond Watson.
Tropical Storm Isaac could hit this weekend.
Operation Blessing out of Virginia Beach is on the way to Haiti to help clean up any damage there after the storm.
