HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- Someone in our area won $25,000 after buying a New Year's Millionaire Raffle ticket at the 7-Eleven on West Market Street.
The store that sold the winning ticket, number 6-3-5-4-3, will receive $250.
At the Royal Gas Station on East Market Street, if it sells that winning ticket, the money is split among employees.
7-Eleven did not inform us of their policy as of 6 p.m. Thursday.
The 7-Eleven put up a sign to highlight its winning ticket.
Sean Kelly went to 7-Eleven Thursday afternoon to pick up a newspaper and a coffee.
He bought a winning lottery ticket there before, but not this time.
"I feel like I wished I had that ticket, but I think you get your own luck. I people think some locations are lucky locations. You never know," said Kelly.
The Virginia Lottery said it sold out of tickets before the raffle, selling up to 330,000 of them.
Another five people won $25,000 in the raffle and three people won a $1 million, but they are not from our area.
