LURAY, Va. -- As Brian Knight of Luray scratched his 10x the Money Scratcher from the Virginia Lottery, he saw something he’d never seen before.

“I kept seeing zeros!” he said.

All those zeros on his ticket added up to $100,000, the game’s top prize.

He bought the winning ticket at Family Convenience on West Main Street in Stanley and scratched it outside the store immediately after he bought it.

“I was so nervous I was shaking,” he said as he claimed his prize.

Knight is the fourth player to claim the $100,000 top prize, meaning there are four unclaimed top prizes remaining.
