Luray Police Seize Thousands of Dollars Worth of Bath Salts

Synthetic cocaine is making a comeback in the Valley even though it was recently made illegal.

The Luray Police Department says so-called bath salts are now being sent into the Valley through the mail.

Just last week they found a large quantity of the drug.

Police seized $7,000 worth of bath salts.

They worked in cooperation with postal inspectors in the raid.

Bath salts are still legal in some states and investigators say the drug is being mailed from those states.

The drug was banned in Virginia in march.

No one has been charged in the Luray raid.
