Man Arrested For Allegedly Fighting Deputies

A man faces multiple charges after he fought with sheriff

AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) -- A man faces multiple charges after he fought with sheriff's deputies at Augusta Health Saturday morning, according to the Augusta County Sheriff's Office.

Stewart Weaver, 37, faces six charges, including three for assault and battery related to the incident.

He went to the Augusta Health for a mental health evaluation; however, when he showed up, he was very drunk, according to the sheriff's office.

Deputies said health workers contacted the sheriff's offices and when deputies arrived, Weaver fought with them until they took control.

Law enforcement said Weaver is now getting mental health treatment under an emergency custody order.

There is no mug shot of Weaver because was too intoxicated to get a proper photo done, according to an officer.
