Man Arrested After Undercover Operation

HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- The NOVA/ICAC task force comprised of investigators from the Virginia State Police, Harrisonburg Police Department and the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office conducted an undercover arrest operation in the City of Harrisonburg on Thursday, Feb. 6.

The arrest of Trevor G. Collin, 29, of Bethesda, Md., was based on an online investigation involving Collin communicating with and soliciting sex from what he believed was a 13-year-old female. An agreement was reached for a meeting place at an undisclosed location in the city, and at that location, investigators arrested Collin without incident at about 3 p.m. Thursday.

Collin faces two felony counts: one for attempted indecent liberties with a minor and another for the use of electronic means for purpose/promoting indecent liberties with a minor. He is being held without bond at the Rockingham Harrisonburg Regional Jail.
