AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) -- The Augusta County Sheriff's Office arrested a man for using counterfeit money.
Louis Goolet, 50, from Stuarts Draft, is in jail facing 35 felony charges.
Goolet visited several businesses, mostly convenience stores, where he paid with fake $50 bills, according to a sheriff's deputy.
The bills were of lower quality according to law enforcement, which made connecting them to Goolet easier.
An investigator also said this was not part of a larger, more sophisticated operation.
Goolet is being held without bond.
