Man Arrested in Connection to Dry River Store Shooting

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY (WHSV)-- A man has been arrested in connection to the shooting at the Dry River Store.

According to the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office, Javon Lamont Arrington was arrested in Richmond on Friday. The 21-year old now faces six charges, including capital murder-robbery, attempt to commit capital offense, aggravated malicious wounding, two counts of use of firearm in the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The shooting happened on Feb. 15. The store owner and his wife were shot. Eun Kim died in the shooting.

"This has been and continues to be a very difficult investigation involving extremely violent and senseless crimes. We are truly grateful for all the assistance we have received along the way," Sheriff Bryan Hutcheson said in a statement.

Arrington is currently being held without bond at the Rockingham County Regional Jail.
