Man Charged For Possession of Child Porn

FREDERICK COUNTY, Va. (WHSV) -- A Frederick County man faces one charge of possession of child pornography.

Investigators with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, Criminal Investigations Division and Northern Virginia-D.C. Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force charged Michael S. Beeman, 60, with the count.

Beeman was arrested Jan. 20 and transported to the Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center where he was held without bond by a magistrate pending a bond hearing by a District Court judge.

Beeman appeared before a District Court judge on Jan. 21 and was held without bond pending a preliminary hearing on March 18 at 2 p.m. in Frederick County General District Court.

The investigation is active and ongoing and additional charges are possible.

Investigators are investigating whether Beeman had any inappropriate contact with children.
