Man Charged With DUI After Almost Hitting CVS Store

STAUNTON, Va.--- A man has bonded out of jail after a crash in Staunton on Saturday evening.

Twenty-five-year-old Channon Madden was driving this car when he veered off the road nearly hitting this CVS store.

Police say he was under the influence of alcohol.

No one was hurt in the crash, but people who work in the area say it makes them worry about their own safety.

"It's really scary, because we have a lot of the local people that live right around the surrounding area. Their children walk down here, and not only the children but the adults as well," says Cathy Hogsett who lives in Staunton, "People should not drink and drive. It's very dangerous not only for themselves but everybody else too."

Madden has been charged with DUI.
