Lawn Mower Rollover Sends One to Hospital

AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va.---An Augusta County man was flown to the University of Virginia Medical Center on Sunday, after his lawn mower rolled over.

Churchville Rescue Chief Michael Harmon said the incident happened on the 300 block of Union Church road near Staunton.

Several rescue squads in the area and the Augusta County Sheriff's Office responded to the incident after 3 p.m.

Harmon said the man had traumatic facial injuries. However, he did not know the details of how he sustained the injuries.

According to Hermon, the man's injuries and age made it necessary to fly him to UVa.

His condition is unknown. Authorities did not release his name.
