UPDATE: Here are the latest details about a carbon monoxide scare that sent one man to the hospital.

Firefighters said they found chemical containers in the bedroom of the man at the Hunter's Ridge apartment complex. They said they found two people in the apartment and a third person unconscious in a bedroom.

Neighbors are saying they were worried about their safety.

“It's terrifying stuff,” said Dale Price, a neighbor. “Hopefully it's an isolated incident, and I've got faith in the Harrisonburg Fire Department.”

The person found in the bedroom has been taken to Rockingham Memorial Hospital and the incident is still under investigation.

A man was taken to the hospital after he was found unconscious in his bedroom from what appears to be a Carbon Monoxide leak.

Rescue workers went to the Hunters Ridge Apartments on Port Republic Road early Wednesday morning after they were called for a Carbon Monoxide alarm.

Rescue workers are still trying to figure out what chemicals were present.

The victim was conscious by the time he got to RMH.
