Mary Baldwin College is seeing a record number of applicants for the upcoming fall semester.
The admissions office has already received nearly 3700 applications, and expect even more to come. That's 13-percent more than last year.
The school has been expanding its marketing efforts as well as developing new financial aid and scholarship programs.
One student thinks it is the high quality education that is offered that attracts more applicants.
"If any female is really ready to get their career going, and to get a very high expectation education, they should enroll in Mary Baldwin," says Dana Ohler, an MBC student. "This is an amazing college, and it is a great college to be a part of."
College officials have created a wait list for applicants for the first time in several years.
