CHURCHVILLE-- A massive fire destroyed the front part of a house off of Whiskey Rd. The fire started after 11 p.m. on Wednesday night.

Investigators said they do not know the exact cause of the fire, but they have confirmed it was accidental.

No one was in the house when the fire started. The owner is currently on a safari in Africa, according to fire crews.

It took fire fighters several hours to put out the flames. Several companies responded, including the Churchville Volunteer Rescue Squad. Most of the house was damaged, but the back fared better.

Crews are still investigating a cause. They were expecting to stay out there late into the night, and could return on Thursday morning.
