RICHMOND, Va. Gubernatorial candidates Ken Cuccinelli and Terry McAuliffe release their education plans while at VCU.
JMU political analyst Doctor Bob Roberts says McAuliffe's plan was broader calling for affordable college tuition and needs more funding.
While Cuccinelli has received more attention for his narrow plan.Calling on more emphasis for STEM programs and the $10,000 degree where student can earn a degree and not spend more than $10,000 in tuition.
"There aren't really any major differences between McDonnell's plan and Cuccinelli's, but there are more controversial proposals in Cuccinelli's," says Roberts.
Cuccinelli $10,000 degree plan also relies on students coming in with college credits they received in high school and incentives for students to do internships.
