Harrisonburg, Va. (WHSV) Already thinking about how to burn those calories in the new year? You may want to consider Gold's Gym's Anti-Resolution campaign. It's a twist to kicking off a healthier lifestyle in the new year.
Gold's Gym's seven-step anti-resolution action plan calls for you to come up with short attainable goals, like scheduling gym time, eating healthier meals, creating healthy habits, trying different work out routines, getting more sleep and being prepared for temptations.
Val Holmes, the General Manger at Gold's Gym in Harrisonburg said those tips will help you to stick to your weight loss goals.
"What ends up happening is three weeks in, they let themselves down and they just stop coming. It just demotivates themselves so much that they have to wait until next year to start it all over again, instead of just making short attainable goals," said Holmes.
Holmes discourages people from following strict diets to meet weight loss goals because most end in failure.
