ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WCAV)-- As crews scoured Carter Mountain, looking for for Bonnie Santiago, her family sits besides the mobile unit hoping for good news.

Santiago has been missing since July 12, when she was last seen at the orchard. Her older sister Barbara says its unlike her to wander off without telling anyone. Barbara says Santiago is a fun loving woman who comes from a large family with seven children of her own, and 14 grandchildren.

"She just likes to have fun. She's a happy person. I just can't see her being missing. That's why it seems so surreal. Her children are missing her, her grandchildren and missing her, her brothers and sisters are missing her also," said Barbara Simpson, Santiago's sister.

The family says if Santiago is out there, or if someone knows where she is to let them know they love her.
