HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC)-- Morrisey is being brought up on charges which include: supervisory indecent liberties with a minor, electronic solicitation of a minor, possession of child pornography, distribution of child pornography and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
In August, Henrico police were called to Morrissey's home by the father of a 17-year-old girl. The girl had been hired as a part-time receptionist at Morrissey's office after saying she was 22. She went to Morrissey's home to discuss a family matter with her mother's approval.
The girl has told authorities that she did not have a sexual relationship with Morrissey, and Morrissey has said he had no relationship with her.
The Commonwealth's attorney for Henrico County, Shannon I. Taylor released the following statement:
"I appreciate the service of the grand jury and the seriousness with which they and Spotsylvania County Commonwealth's attorney, Mr. Bill Neely, approached this matter. I am confident that, going forward, the same seriousness of purpose will prevail and the justice system will do its job, whatever its determination."
If convicted on all charges, Morrissey could face up to 30 years in prison.
