ELKTON -- On Monday night, three women in Ohio, who'd been missing for a decade, were found.
It's also been nearly 10 years now since a Valley woman went missing.
Rachel Good went missing in 2003. Still, 10 years later, there are no clues about what happened to her. Brenda Brown, her mother says even after a decade, it never gets easier.
Pictures and memories are all that's left for Brown. Her daughter, Rachel Good, went missing in Elkton in 2003.
"It's just as raw today as it was then," said Brown
She says she thought of her daughter when she heard about the missing women found in Ohio. Both cases went unsolved for a decade.
Brown said she's happy the other family finally has some answers.
"At least now they can pick those pieces up, and they can go on. The parents know and they don't have that void there of the not knowing."
It's a void Brown still deals with 10 years later.
“I have severe nightmares. I have medication for nightmares."
She says she knows how the family in Ohio must have felt all this time.
"Not even able to grieve or anything because you're in limbo. You're in between fiction and facts."
It's the unanswered questions of what exactly happened to Rachel that leaves Brown uneasy.
It's also hard for Rachel's three children. Brown has taken care of the youngest son since Rachel went missing.
"I told him to pick out a special star, and that's his mom's and on his mom's birthday and stuff we usually go over to the church and we let a balloon off for her."
Brown says she assumes Rachel is now dead. That's what police said, unable to come up with any clues.
Brown says she accepts that she's gone, but she's still waiting for answers.
"I just sit back and wait and pray."
Brown says her daughter's case is different from the case in Ohio. She says that person found responsible stayed in the area, whereas, she believes her daughter's killer ran away.
Police did declare Rachel was dead years ago after not finding her. Virginia State Police is still investigating this case.
