Murder Suspect's Sister Arrested

A Valley murder suspect's sister was arrested Monday.

Augusta County sheriff's deputies say Elkton resident Laura Lee Williams is charged with felony accessory after the fact to first-degree murder. Deputies did not release how she's allegedly involved in the case.

Deputies say she's being held at the Rockingham County Jail.

This afternoon, there was a report that the murder suspect, Richard Clay Smith, was spotted at the Valley Mall.

The call came in just after 3 p.m. Labor Day. The caller reported seeing Richard Clay Smith near Country Cookin'.

Harrisonburg Police and Rockingham County Sheriff's Deputies responded to the mall and set up in the parking lot around the mall. They also checked the parking lots to see if Smith's vehicle was anywhere to be found.

At this point, Smith has not been found. Authorities are investigating the area the report came in from.

Smith is wanted on a capital murder charge among other charges.

He is believed to be with his girlfriend, Andrea Mullan. She is also wanted on fraud charges in Page County.
