HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- Musicians are converging on Harrisonburg for a Valley tradition that's been running for 22 years.
The Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival held at Eastern Mennonite University kicks off this weekend in Lehman Auditorium at the EMU campus.
They have been going over their music for their 10 concerts in two five-hour rehearsals Friday and Saturday. The first performance is Sunday at 3 p.m.
It's a tradition that keeps performers coming to the Valley year after year.
"It's about the people who I participate with here. They're my friends. They're my family. There are a lot of returnees. I play a lot in Baltimore. I work with a lot of different groups, but none even begin to compare with my experiences here at Bach Fest," explained principal oboist, Sandra Gerster.
The festival runs through June 16. Click the link to the right for more information.
