Waynesboro is taking steps toward becoming healthier. Thursday, several health professionals partnered to make that happen, including Augusta Health, Med Assist and Enroll Virginia.

A navigator was on site to answer questions pertaining to Healthcare.gov. He said more and more people are opting to sign up for the Affordable Care Act.

"I mean, a couple weeks ago it was really problematic. It was really hit or miss, but since then. I mean in the last couple of weeks, almost everybody I've helped have been able to get through the application, so it's going a lot better," said Andrew Bolt, who is a Certified Navigator.

According to the Department of Health and Human Services, more than 300,000 people signed up for plans through Healthcare.Gov in November.
