HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- With temperatures in the sixties on Saturday, plenty of people in the Valley are enjoying the warmer weather. A lot of people spent Saturday afternoon running, biking or hiking at Hillendale Park in Harrisonburg.
Tara Bell enjoys time with her family in Hillendale Park. Jackson and Troy play on the basketball court with their father, Dave.
"Very nice to enjoy the time outside with the kids. You know, when you're working all week, this is, what a gift to have a nice day on the weekend to get out," said Tara Bell.
The warmer weather also gives Tara a chance to get outside and train for the Avon Walk for a Cure.
"It was nice to have a nice warm morning to do it, instead of being so cold," said Bell.
Others walk and bike, happy to see there's no snow.
"I just hope it stays this way. No more cold, no more snow," said Ryan Pugh.
Ryan Pugh and his friends decided to take this break in the weather to shoot hoops.
"It's just a beautiful day. It's about time we get some warm weather, I'm really tired of the snow," said Pugh.
With the threat of some colder days ahead, neighbors are just taking it a day at a time.
"I love this time of year, I love the change in weather, and I love that it's not so hot. I wouldn't mind one more snow storm, but it's nice to be out enjoying this weather," said Bell.
