HARRISONBURG, Va.---People in the valley rushed to purchase Powerball tickets on Saturday.

The jackpot hit nearly $600 million.

At the Royal Mart on East Market street in Harrisonburg, an employee said customers bought 500 tickets.

Customers usually buy up to 100 tickets during a regular drawing.

Lola Mckenney who is playing for the first time is hopeful she will win the jackpot.

"My biggest dream would be to buy a new house and then a motor home and then to share some of the money," said Mckenney.

The winning numbers were 10, 13, 14, 22, 52 and the Powerball was 11.

This is the second largest jackpot in U.S. history. The Mega Millions had a jackpot of $656 million last year.
