HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- A new bucket list has been released showcasing things every child in the Shenandoah Valley should do before turning 18.
Virginia Tourism and Go Blue Ridge Travel started the list after hearing some families complain there isn't enough for them to do with their kids in the Valley. The Shenandoah Caverns is one of several hundred places where kids in the Valley should visit.
Nancy Craun, the founder of Go Blue Ridge Travel, said this list shows the Valley is a destination hot spot for all activities.
"Here is what we want to do, convince people that you don't need to go to Disney, they can easily come out here to the Valley and spend one or two days having incredible fun," said Craun.
Jordan Mongold, a Mountain View Elementary School student, said, "I got to see a bunch of rocks and cool things, I hope we go again this summer."
The list will cover more than 150 miles around the Valley.
