WAYNESBORO, Va – Tuesday night was the opening night for the Delphine Enterprise Center, which took over the Mohawk Industries building. The building's newest owners hope it will be transformed into a business center and that it might help bring job growth to the Valley.
Real estate developers have bought the building and want to turn it into a high-tech manufacturing job center.
Mathers Construction Team will be the property's first tenant. The building's owners hope other businesses will use it for storage or manufacturing.
Several government and business leaders were at the building on Tuesday night to take a tour.
The company that owns the building hopes aspiring business owners will invest in this business center to start up. The idea is new business owners pay less overhead upfront to get their businesses started.
