STAUNTON, Va. (WHSV) -- The new College of Health Sciences at Mary Baldwin College continues to check items off its to-do list before it opens in June.

The Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences building is currently under construction in Fishersville.

The college, which is in the first steps of accreditation, is now able to start accepting students for its physical therapy and occupational therapy programs.

Dr. Linda Seestedt-Stanford, the vice president of Health Science, said they're right on track.

"We're following the curriculum map, we're following the building schedule, our admissions are on track. So we're real pleased. Then, of course, our accreditation." sad Seestedt-Stanford.

The college also plans to offer a master's program in physician assistant studies starting August 2015.
