HARRISONBURG -- A new film series is starting at Court Square Theater in downtown Harrisonburg. That means you'll now get to see big movies there not just live performances.

The theater's manager, Michael Weaver, says it's all thanks to a partnership with Visulite.

Court Square Theater will now have a 70-thousand dollar projector screen that will enhance movie-viewing. The theater will also offer concessions like popcorn and beer and wine.

Weaver says many folks have complained about there not being much at this theater, now he says it'll all change.

"This is going to allow us to have programming more or less seven days a week.So there's always going to be something downtown at court square theater to check out. A lot of times it's going to be movies, when it's not movies it's going to be a music show, if it's not a music show it might be live theater, might be a comedy group. There's gonna always be something going on," Weaver says

Weaver says the movies will fill the gaps between other shows. The film series starts Friday.
