WOODSTOCK -- Shenandoah County announced the new school superintendent Thursday night.
Jeremy Raley, currently the Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Administration, will be stepping into the role of superintendent November 1.
A reception was held at the County Government Center to introduce the new superintendent to staff and the public. Raley gave several presentations tonight as Assistant Superintendent, including health care reform and monetary planning.
"I'm just humbled by the opportunity to be able to serve the students and community of Shenandoah County and looking forward to the work that we can do as a community to benefit our community's children," said Raley.
Raley says he is looking forward to having a discussion with the public about better preparing students for their future education and careers.
