They aren't even old enough to vote, but Mary Baldwin College is welcoming them to enroll at the college.
The school has begun recruiting for a new program called The Early College Academy which is geared toward 16 and 17-year-olds who graduate high school early.
Mary Baldwin already has a program for gifted girls as young as 13 who skip high school but say this program is different.
The school says they are starting this program because of a growing demand.
"Because of the increasing number of students who are finishing high school early and are seeking some sort of college experience before, slightly before, they are finished with high school," says Brenda Bryant.
The program will provide the young students with more day-to-day support from faculty as well as house them together, easing their transition into college life.
