Virginia Department of Transportation took steps to keep drivers safe when they exit I-81 in Weyer's Cave. The agency installed new traffic signals on the northbound and southbound ramps at Exit 235.
The new signals will go into flash mode on Thursday. They will be fully operational the following Tuesday: which is Feb. 14.
VDOT wants all drivers in the area to keep their eyes open and be aware of the new traffic pattern.
