New Website Helps Augusta Police Recover Stolen Items

The Augusta County Sheriff's Office wants you to know about a website that could help you if you fall victim to a crime. It's a website called Leads Online.

This website will allow you to register your valuables like computers or jewelry. The serial number is recorded, and if it's ever stolen, pawned or sold to a second hand shop, law enforcement agencies around the country could find it.

The sheriff's office recently began using it, and they have already had success recovering stolen items.
