HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- Auto sales are up, according to Autodata Corporation, and car dealerships in our area also said they saw a spike in sales.
Black Friday Weekend deals weren't only good online and in malls, they were also good on some auto dealers' lots.
Bill Yetzer, the sales manager at Bob Wade Autoworld, said November is probably the best month they've had this year.
Supporting Autodata Corp.'s research, which shows that the annual rate of sales for some cars and trucks last month is the best rate of the year.
Research also shows that auto sales picked up particularly after Thanksgiving, something Yetzer said is a major contributor to his impressive sales last month.
On average he usually sells two to three cars per day; however, on Black Friday, "I think we actually sold and delivered six or seven cars and had people that visited us that came back over the last couple days, the next day Saturday and Monday and bought cars from us as well," said Yetzer.
General Motors and Chrysler, the companies President Obama once bailed out, are also seeing an increase in sales.
They both reported their best November sales in six years.
