CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- A state official says the West Virginia Capitol's gold dome didn't sustain any damage from thousands of fireworks that were shot over it during the state's sesquicentennial celebration.

West Virginia Sesquicentennial Commission executive director Chelsea Ruby tells media outlets that there's some cleanup work to do. But inspections by the state and Zambelli Fireworks on Sunday didn't find any damage.

Zambelli put on the pyrotechnics display on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights.
