HARRISONBURG -- A safe built in the 1800's that needed to be removed from the old Wilson Jewelery building has a new home.

Kline May Realtors is moving into the old building.

The building needed some major renovations.

Removing the safe was not easy. It weighs about seven thousand pounds.

The company was worried the floor would collapse while the safe was being removed.

Bruce Knicley has been collecting antiques for years. He wanted the safe and he said removing it wasn't a problem.

"I just want that safe for myself. Those large safes are hard to come by. And when you do find one at a sale they don't make a whole lot of money," said Knicley

Knicley didn't have to pay any money for the safe.

The realtors said if you can get it out, you can have it.
