One Dead After Motor Cycle Crash in Rockingham County

ROCKINGHAM CO. (WHSV) - An Elkton man died Wednesday night in a motorcycle crash in McGaheysville.

58-year-old Carl Nicol was driving a 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he ran off the left side of the road and struck a fence, according to the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office.

Emergency crews responded to the 900 block of Jacob Burner Road about 8 p.m.

Nicol was initially treated by an ambulance with Medflight en-route; however, he was pronounced dead before the helicopter could arrive.
