75-year-old Waynesboro resident Wayne Thomas White died in the crash near Afton.

At about 6:30 p.m., emergency crews responded to the 9600 block of the Rockfish Gap Turnpike.

Albemarle County sheriff's deputies say two vehicles and a tractor-trailer were involved in the wreck.

Deputies say Charlottesville resident Donovan James Webster was charged with driving under the influence.

Deputies say the tractor-trailer driver, who was not seriously injured, will not be charged.
