One Valley Viewer Travels to Brazil to See the World Cup in Person

HARRISONBURG, Va. Today is a big day for soccer fans as team USA prepares to take on Belgium in the World Cup Games.

People across the Valley will gather around their televisions to watch the game. In fact, some viewers are even traveling to Brazil to watch the game in person.

Juan Mandujano just got back from Brazil to watch the World Cup in person, a dream that's been a goal of his for years.

"Soccer runs in my blood and I just had to go," said Mandujano.

He said, the trip was completely spontaneous. In fact, they didn't even have hotel reservations.

Mandujano said, his favorite part of the experience was being in a soccer stadium with so much history.

"The fans just had so much passion, it was unbelievable," said Mandujano.

Now, as Mandujano prepares for tonight's game, he said he is wearing the same shirt he wore in Brazil, to get in the spirit.
