HARRISONBURG -- FEMA is ordering Page County to come up with a Floodplain Management ordinance by Tuesday.
If not, the national flood insurance program will be suspended from the county.
"So the reason for being certain that we are complying with the new changes in the new Federal Law is to make sure that we do qualify so that if a disaster strikes we have the ability to get Federal assistance," said Page County's attorney Nathan H. Miller.
He says the language is the main thing that needs to be changed.
On Tuesday, the county Board of Supervisors will meet to approve or deny the changes.
