HARRISONBURG, Va.--- Neighbors honored our veterans for their service at the annual Veterans Day Celebration on Sunday. The event kicked off with a parade through downtown Harrisonburg and wrapped up with a concert at James Madison University.

Juanita Jett who is one of the spectators at the parade said the event allows the community to show its support. The parade features local veterans and other local groups, such as the Harrisonburg High School marching bad.

"We cannot forget who is helping with the countries that we don't get along with and they need us and we definitely need them," said Jett.

She said it is important to thank veterans for their service, not only today, but also throughout the year.
