People In Waynesboro Are Ready For Riverfest

WAYNESBORO, Va -- The 17th annual Riverfest will take place at Constitution Park in Waynesboro.

Among the attractions are canoe rides, arts and craft, and presentations by the Wildlife Center.

The purpose of the event is to help raise awareness of natural resources in Waynesboro.

This comes as the Brownfield Project was recently presented to the Waynesboro City Council which will involve revitalizing Constitution Park.

"Building anything, any park and making it better is going to make out community stronger, it's going to make more folks come out and visit it and appreciate it," says Ashley Staton, who lives in Waynesboro.

The Riverfest will take place on Saturday May 3rd at Constitution Park in Waynesboro.
