ROCKINGHAM COUNTY -- WhiteWave Foods Company announced a major upgrade to their Mt Crawford facility Thursday afternoon. Almost $70 million is being invested to help increase production. It will add 36 new jobs to the 400 already at the plant. The upgrade will add three new production lines and more than double the warehouse space.

“This manufacturing facility produces all four of our brands. It's very critical from a distribution to our customer base in the eastern United States,” said Vice President of WhiteWave Supply Chain Jim Peacock.

Virginia successfully competed against Texas for the project. WhiteWave was given an $800,000 grant from the state of Virginia for the project.
