HARRISONBURG -- On March 23, officers with the Harrisonburg Police Department received a report of a credit card fraud. The victim reported losing his credit card in the area of the Royal Mart, which is located in the 800 block of East Market Street. This happened sometime in the early morning hours.
Later that same day, the victim’s credit card was fraudulently used multiple times at Sheetz, located on 533 University Bvd.
Video surveillance has been obtained of the possible suspects fraudulently using the victim’s credit card. The suspects were also seen getting into a red van after the offense occurred. You can see the pictures in the above slideshow.
The suspects are described as follows:
Suspect 1 is a white male in his late 50s to early 60s with gray hair and slightly balding. He was last seen wearing a green shirt with a dark jacket.
Suspect 2 is a white male who is approximately 30 to 40 years old. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue shirt with a light colored stripe down each sleeve, tennis shoes, a green or brown baseball hat with writing on the front.
The suspect vehicle is described as a red minivan, possibly a Dodge or Chrysler model, with silver rims.
HPD is encouraging anyone in the community who may know the identity of the persons in these photos or have information on the owner of the vehicle to contact the Harrisonburg Police Department, Criminal Investigations Division, at 540-437-2640.
