HARRISONBURG, Va. (WHSV) -- On December 6, 2013 officers with the Harrisonburg Police Department received a report of a credit card theft and subsequent incidents of credit card fraud.

The victim reported that a black man approached and asked her to pray with him while shopping at a local business, likely as a way of distracting her.

When the victim obliged and closed her eyes to pray, her credit cards were stolen from her purse.

Later that same day, the victim’s credit card was fraudulently used multiple times at other businesses in the Harrisonburg area.

Video surveillance has been obtained of one of the possible suspects.

The first is a black man in his late 30s to early 40s with a medium-sized build. He was last seen wearing a jacket and jeans.

The second suspect, seen in the surveillance image, is white or possibly light skinned black female in her mid 30s with a medium build and short “bob” style haircut. She was last seen wearing a black thigh length “pea coat”, with brown pants, and carrying a large black purse.

HPD is encouraging anyone in the community who may know the identity of the individual in this photo, or information in regards to the larceny, to contact the Harrisonburg Police Department, Criminal Investigations Division, at 540-437-2640.
