STAUNTON, Va. (WHSV) -- Thousands of dollars of steel I-beams have been stolen from Allied Concrete in Staunton.
Police are still looking for whoever is responsible.
I-Beams cost about $500 to $700 each and were stolen sometime between last Friday and this past Tuesday, according to police.
There are still visible signs according to workers at Allied Concrete, from the busted gate to the tire tracks in the snow.
Workers said the I-beams were likely stolen to be sold as scrap metal.
"They need to put themselves in other people's shoes. See what it's like when you have to replace one of those things. All it's doing is costing you money in the long run. It's stealing is what it is. I'm sure they don't think about it that way, but they're hurting people when they do that," said Larry McGhee, with Allied Concrete.
If you have any sort of information that can help police find whoever is responsible Call Staunton Police at 540-332-3842 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-322-2017.
