Police have a felony warrant for Bowie Robert Hoyt for malicious wounding.
Police say two groups of people got into a fight last Wednesday. One man was stabbed and another was allegedly dragged behind a car.
Police say the fight may have involved gangs.
Hoyt has had previous run-ins with law enforcement agencies throughout the Valley.
One neighbor described the scene that caused the call to 911.
“I called 911 when these three cars were flying up and down the road squealing and making u-turns a block up the street then coming down,” said Randy Simmons, a neighbor. “They tried to run over the guys from across the street.”
Sgt. Brian Edwards with the Waynesboro Police Department said the fight could have been very dangerous.
“You know, five people on each side, gun, knife, and for me, the most dangerous you have three two ton vehicles that people are going to use as weapons as they did in this case, you've got the recipe for a very dangerous scene,” said Sgt. Edwards.
Anyone that has any information is asked to call Waynesboro Police at 540-942-6675.
