The "Your Money, Your Values, Your Vote" bus tour stopped in Harrisonburg Friday.
The tour by the Heritage Foundation stopped by First Presbyterian Church to encourage people to vote. The bus tour is holding rallies around the United States.
Those with the tour are helping people register to vote and promoting the "Saving the American Dream" plan. The plan was drawn up by the Heritage Foundation to erase the United States' debt in 10 years.
Tour organizers said it is very important that people realize the importance of family values.
“We're very concerned about these issues and the only way we feel we can really get the word out to people is to go out into the communities and talk to the citizens who are concerned,” said Becky Dunlop with the Heritage Foundation.
The bus tour will be in Virginia until July 10th. After that it will go throughout the United States until the November presidential elections.
