HARRISONBURG, Va. -- About 7,000 power customers in Harrisonburg lost power this morning.
The Harrisonburg Electric Commission General Manager Brian Odell said a problem with a delivery point on Ramblewood road caused all of the outages.
Odell said power is 100 % restored, after customers went without power from about 3 a.m. to 4 a.m.
Downtown Harrisonburg was pitch black southwest of the Public Safety building. Dispatchers said it was out from the Public Safety building all the way to Monument Avenue.
Police patrolled the streets for safety during the outage, but police said there weren't many people out at such an early hour.
Odell said he does not expect for there to be any further power issues.
