Presidential Library To Honor Military Personnel

STAUNTON, Va. - Just in time for Memorial Day, an area museum is doing something to honor those who defend our freedom.

The Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library in Staunton announced they are going to be a participating in the Blue Star Museums Program.

As a Blue Star Museum, the library will offer free admission on Memorial Day all the way through labor day to all active duty and reserve military personnel and their families.

People say it's good to support our troops for the many sacrifices they make.

"I think it bring consciousness to the rest of us who may not be as mindful as to the sacrifices that they make, it's more of a community effort, and I think it's good, it helps boost the morale of active military to see the community support them," Sam Johnson.

Over two thousand museums across the country are participating in the program.
