Harrisonburg A program helps teens in our community transition into a job.

Valley Workforce youth career coach Diane Haldane helps 75 people get work experience, and vocational training.

Project Next Step is a needs-based program that serves16 to 21 years old who meet some requirements. Some of them include having financial trouble and barriers to succeed.

"I think for some youth, it is difficult so we can definitely take a little bit of that difficulty away and give them the support that they may need, that they may not get, either at home or anywhere else," Haldane said.

The program that runs year-round is part of the Workforce Investment act.

If you want to sign up for the program, you can contact the valley workforce at 540-433-4864.
